Batalion Reprezentacyjny Wojska Polskiego
ABOUT
The Representative Battalion of the Polish Army (Honor Guard Battalion) is a military unit of the Polish Armed Forces responsible for organizing military ceremonies. The battalion is one of the units of the Warsaw Garrison Command. Our mission is to conduct memorial affairs to honor fallen comrades and ceremonies and special events to represent the Polish Army. It currently has three active companies, Cavalry Squadron and Representative Band. Soldiers of the Honor Guard Battalion are responsible for conducting military ceremonies at the Presidential Palace, the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, national memorials and elsewhere in the nation's capital. Due to our tasks we also provide ceremonies in Polish Embassies abroad. In addition, soldiers of our unit maintain a 24-hour vigil at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw, provide military funeral escorts and participate in military parades. In time of national emergency or civil disturbance we are ready to give security for Warsaw Garrison.
